Which mineral supplement is best?

"Is there a mineral supplement on the market that contains the proper ratios of minerals?"

Gary responds:
Since the beginning of this year I have had second thoughts about multi vitamins and multi mineral supplements.  This is after completing two courses by different agencies on mineral therapy.  There is no "one size fits all" supplement.

Mineral Supplementation: Why less is more

When it comes to mineral supplementation, as with most nutrients, less is more effective.

The reason is principally Osmosis

"Diffusion of fluid through a semipermeable membrane from a solution with a low solute concentration to a solution with a higher solute concentration until there is an equal concentration of fluid on both sides of the membrane."

In the body, this is regulated by concentrations of salts and proteins and other organic materials. The body is divided into a series of fluid compartments. For simplicity and expediency, we will divide the body into three: the plasma (blood), the extracellular fluid (outside the cells) and the intracellular fluid (within the cells). Water flows between each of these compartments by a combination of diffusion and osmosis and the effects of pressure variables.

If you were to take in a big hit of sodium chloride (table salt, NaCl) by having a salty meal, there will be a spike in NaCl in the blood, lesser in the extracellular compartment and less in the intracellur one. The body will respond to dilute the spike in NaCl with an overall shift of water from the intracellular and the extracellular compartments to the blood.

This will cause a dehydration of the cells, reducing metabolic activity due to the reduced cell fluid volume and a possible increase in blood pressure due to the increase in blood volume.

The way to prevent this unhealthy process is to go on a relatively salt-free diet and to avoid acute spikes in NaCl. This means reading the labels of all the processed food you have and to discard or limit all that have added "sodium". Do not add salt to your meals. use herbs and spices. What you will notice within a few days of going salt-free is your sense of taste and smell will improve, lessening the need for spicing up food for taste.

Now that you are relatively salt free, you can set about improving the hydration of your cells. This is done by carefully dribbling tissue salts into your body, using the Active Elements Tissue Salts. Very small, frequent doses are the way to go. Small, frequent doses prevent spikes in blood salt levels while giving enough salt for your cells to reach out and grab them and incorporate them into their intracellular fluid. With extra tissue salts inside, more water is naturally added.

This process of cell hydration by small, frequent doses of tissue salts requires patience and consistency over several weeks, if not months. The end result is a healthy vibrant body with energy to burn!

"Drink more water, drink, drink, drink".

That's the message we hear time and time again from the sports fitness industry and the commercial interests that have a vested interest in promoting the sales of bottled water. They tell us that the key to health and longevity is to drink more water, but is this really true?

The problem is, when dealing with people face-to-face about health issues, I just can not see a connection between how much water one drinks and health. The opposite might be the case: The more water one drinks, the more likely there are chronic health issues like lack of energy, weight gain, weak bones, aching joints and muscles and so on. How could this be? The following is some informed, healthy speculation:

The answer may be to do with distortion of the delicate salt balance within each cell. There are 12 salts found inside the cell (Referred to as the "salts of Schussler"): Sodium phosphate, sodium, sulphate, sodium chloride, potassium phosphate, potassium sulphate, potassium chloride, calcium phosphate, calcium sulphate, calcium fluoride, iron phosphate and silicon dioxide.

Too little of any of these salts, or an imbalance, and the health of the cell is compromised and this shows as failing energy and eventual ill health of all descriptions.

The modern diet lacks most of these salts while supplying enormous amounts of sodium chloride. Tissue salts are lost daily through the urine, sweat and the shedding of skin and hair. If one drinks lots of water, especially if it is distilled, precious tissue salts are flushed out of the system. Some medications, like blood pressure diuretics, accelerate this loss of tissue salts.

If there is insufficient of any of the 12 tissue salts in the cells, the cell reduces its water content to maintain as near a healthy salt electrolyte balance as it can in these less than perfect circumstances. If there is an excess of any of the 12 salts in relation to the others, the excess is discarded while those in short supply are retained to ensure the correct concentration is retained within the cells. This explains why the percentage hydration of the body tends to decline with age: The desperate attempts of the body to maintain a viable salt balance.

The graphs associated with this article are of people of differing age, gender, fitness and health. These are the results of "bioelectrical impedance analysis" (BIA) which allows us to work out the ratios of fat, muscle, bone and water in the body. With age, the percent water in the cells tends to decline from a healthy 60+% to 50% or even lower. But this need not be the inevitable result of ageing, as these charts indicate. Tissue dehydration is more closely associated with a diet that is deficient in the tissue salts, inactivity and ill health than age. Incidentally, all of the people graphed with tissue water 60% or greater have undergone a course of tissue salt therapy.

The answer, to me, is to have a diet that is rich in salts, as opposed to industrially processed foods that tend to be soaked in sodium chloride alone. This pretty much equates to the traditional diets of native societies as one would find in places like Samoa and Okinawa prior to the destructive influence of Western food processing. For most of us, a course in supplementing tissue salts would appear to be warranted, especially as we get older. Get this right and the water issue pretty much takes care of itself.

So, how much water should one drink to be healthy? The answer is different for each person because so much depends on size (volume), metabolism, temperature, humidity, type of activity, duration and so on. A general of thumb is to drink sufficient water daily to be peeing 3-6 times a day while not having to get up in the middle of the night due to a bursting bladder. I will write in more detail in a follow up article.

Note: For more information about the importance of tissue salts for health, try a Google or Yahoo internet search for "Active Elements Gary Moller". To do the free Active Elements Assessment which includes a free report prepared by me (Gary Moller), please go here to log in and get started.

Footnote:
You can now easily monitor subtle changes in body composition (And therefore your overall state of health) and you can do this at home. All you need is a body composition analyser - The
Salter 9106. These personal weighing scales with body composition analysis technology costs less than $100. They are remarkably accurate and consistent and use a technology that cost almost $5,000 for just a few years ago. Such is the progress of technology. You can purchase the Salter 9106 from my online store here at a significant discount. Or you can search for them in a store near you (Salter is an international brand). You need the 9106 model which is the machine I use and which my results database is collected from.

The Salter 9106 accurately measures weight, fat, bone, water, and muscle - thus providing an accurate measure of health status. As one's health diminishes, fatness usually increases while hydration and leanness decreases. The converse is true as health improves.

Training for a marathon or cycle training - Advice about what to drink

If you are a training regularly and sweating a lot then you need to drink at least as much water as you lose in a session. You can work out how much water is lost in a training session by weighing yourself before and after. If, for example, you drank one liter of water during the training and you still lost one kilogram in weight, that equates to a two liter loss of water during the training with a one liter deficit. So, that means you need to drink one liter of water - and a little more - in the hour or so after exercise.

Rather than have sugary drinks and foods after the training and competition which rot your teeth and gums, predispose you to diabetes and chronic nutrient deficiency, an athlete is better served drinking plain water and consuming food that is rich in protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins and carbohydrates - and minerals. My Super Smoothie recipe for example.

It makes no sense at all to drink and eat nutrient poor processed carbohydrate foods and sugary sports drinks that are often extremely acidic and laced with colourings and flavourings. Some sports drinks come with "revitalising B vitamins". But they omit telling you that they have left out the B vitamins that make the drink urine coloured. This is hardly healthy.

I spoke with Dr Les Fisher, the man behind the Active Elements programme. For electrolyte replacement before, during and after exercise, he recommends taking one Active Elements 3.1 tablet before the exercise. During the exercise the athlete can take one or two more depending on the sweating rate and then one or two after. The only fluid needed is good old plain water. If it is in preparation for a really exhausting event like a marathon, or the cycling or triathlon equivalent, then the athlete might commence the Active 3.1 supplementation several times over the day leading up to the event.

Active 3.1 contains the tissue mineral salts most needed during intense exercise and heavy sweating for strong circulation and to prevent or relieve muscle cramping - Sodium Phosphate, Potassium Phosphate and Magnesium Phosphate.

During exercise, such as running a marathon or half marathon, the athlete can place the Active 3.1 tablet under the tongue and let it gradually dissolve. This way, some of the salt is absorbed sub lingually (Through the profusion of blood vessels under the tongue), straight into the blood stream.

What can you do to reduce your risk of catching influenza or a cold this winter

There was a television interview a few days ago of a doctor advising viewers that it was time to get their annual flu jab. This is the jab that contains various substances, including aluminium which is a highly neurotoxic metal that is implicated in diseases such as dementia and Alzheimers. When asked if there was anything that one can do for the lesser rhino virus (colds), he replied, "Absolutely nothing at all!" I take issue with that. There is much that one can do to increase one's resistance to virus infections:

  • Get plenty of sleep and do not burn the midnight oil during the flu and cold season - reduce stress. Take a winter holiday
  • Eat plenty of fruit
  • Ensure your diet is rich in the fat soluble vitamins - New Zealand butter, full fat milk, cod liver oil, wheatgerm oil (vitamin E), fish head soup, liver including pate. Take a vitamin D supplement.
  • A further step is to have a regular intake of garlic, vitamin C and echinacea
  • Have regular beef and chicken broth soups
  • Complete the Active Elements assessment to ensure your body has the tissue salts needed to ward off infection
  • Wash you hands frequently and keep clear of people who are dribbling and coughing
  • Avoid confined, crowded, poorly ventilated rooms, such as class rooms
  • If you do feel a viral infection of any kind coming on, have a supply of Active Elements 7.1 on hand and commence taking immediately as prescribed and for as long as symptoms persist.
While there is ongoing debate about the effectiveness of many of these preventative measures, I am convinced enough to recommend any of these to my readers. None are poisonous.

If you purchase Active 7.1 to keep in your medicine cabinet, I have reproduced the prescribing information below.

Minerals: The Essence of Life

Minerals, like vitamins are natural elements essential for our general mental and physical health. Minerals are an intrinsic constituent of every living cell. Minerals help perform a multitude of biological processes.

There are 12 minerals in the body and the processes that each are involved in are closely related to one another. Deficiency in one can disturb and retard the actions of the others. This can result in a steady deterioration in health, illness, lack of energy, muscular and mental deterioration. Premature ageing.

Any refinement process, including extraction or addition to food can disturb the natural mineral balance that is found in food. Together with industrial agricultural methods of today our foods can be severely depleted in minerals.

When a specific mineral deficiency is suspected, the diet may be supplemented with natural mineral substances that precisely replicate the mineral salts that are found in the healthy, disease-free body. These provide a significant support for a healthy life, if the diet is inadequate, or if there is a significant deficit, or stressor such as an acute or chronic infection.

Why Tissue Salts are the basis of Biochemistry and Health

In the late 1800's German physician, Dr Schuessler, discovered that the body consisted of 12 basic tissue salts. From years of research and practice, he surmised four simple principles of biochemistry that remain valid to this day.

These principles are:
  • Disease does not occur if cell metabolism is normal.
  • Cell metabolism is in turn normal if cell nutrition is adequate.
  • Nutritional substances are of either organic or inorganic nature as far as the body is concerned.
  • The ability of the body cells to assimilate and to excrete and further to utilise the nutritional material is impaired if there is a deficiency in the inorganic (mineral salt) constituent of tissue.
It is for the last principle that inorganic tissue salts are the foundation of cell health and nutrition. In the quest for lasting health and well-being, or the restoration of health, the first and most important rule of nutrition is to balance the body's tissue salts. Only after that is achieved will the body be able to properly incorporate and use organic nutrients such as vitamins, fatty acids and amino acids.

My Active Elements service is a success

The Active Elements service that I offer on this website is now almost a year old. It now has over 100 participants. I am delighted. With these numbers I can now see patterns emerging that convince me that the Actve Elements programme is beneficial for many participants.
The participants in the Active Elements programme who are the most consistent over the initial 6-8 weeks are the ones who show the best results in terms of health and energy. Conditions such as psoriasis, muscle and joint pain and extreme fatigue do improve and have disappeared in some cases. Athletes have reported significant gains in performance, including seasonal and career personal best performances. Of course, my service includes more than the Active Elements programme. I provide detailed advice on nutrition, injury management and exercise and assist with finding the most appropriate fitness or health professional in their area for their needs. Mineral therapy is totally complementary with medical treatments and is not intended to replace them.

I was cautiously optimistic about the value of this therapy for several months; but never really pushed it until a few months ago. I was helped along by attending a course a few months ago. This course was on mineral therapy and it was led by Dr Les Fisher, the founder of the Active Elements programme. I learned how the 12 tissue salts that are found in the body are central to every cellular function and how an imbalance or defiency in one or more will inevitably cause ill health. I also learned that no amount of sophisticated medical intervention will restore good health as long as that underlying imbalance or deficiency exists. This reasoning is not rocket science; but it is still hardly understood or spoken of by health professionals. I have now sat and passed the Active Elements mineral therapy exams and been awarded my certificates in Active Elements Mineral Therapy. I feel I am now much better placed to provide the Active Elements mineral therapy service.

Even if you are in perfect health, you will benefit from assessing your daily mineral requirements to maintain that good health as the years pass. If you are unwell for any reason, then you will benefit from undertaking the assessment and commencing a course of mineral therapy. Minerals themselves do not heal or replace medical treatment: What minerals do is they provide the basic materials in the recipe for the body to do its healing as it is designed to.

The 12 Active Elements Mineral Salts and their Traditional Uses

"You can trace every sickness, every disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency." - Dr. Linus Pauling, two-time Nobel Prize winner

Traditional use profile of Nat phos (Sodium phosphate)

Nat phos (Sodium phosphate) has been traditionally used to reduce acidity in the tissues. Acidic residue must be removed from the tissues otherwise it causes irritation and ultimately, chemical and degenerative changes. These changes may result in many conditions and symptoms, such as; gastric and urinary acidity, gastric reflux, indigestion, dyspepsia, difficulty in digesting fats, gall stones, a cream coating on the tongue, conjunctivitis, thread worms, scalding/burning urine, cystitis, morning sickness, gout, fibrositis, rheumatism and arthritis.

Nat phos (Sodium phosphate) symptoms are worse before or during a thunderstorm.

Traditional use profile of Nat sulph (Sodium sulfate)

Nat sulph (Sodium sulfate) has been traditionally used to tone and detoxify the liver and to balance body fluids. Examples of a fluid imbalance may include generalised fluid retention in the tissues (Oedema), or the puffy swelling around a joint following injury. Nat sulph (Sodium sulfate) has been traditionally associated with, liver symptoms of biliousness, gall stones, gall colic and vomiting of bile, and/or a greenish-brown coating on the tongue. Nat sulph (Sodium sulfate) helps detoxify toxic compounds in the liver. Nat sulph (Sodium sulfate) is also indicated for weepy, vesicular eczema and yellow-green mucus discharges.

Nat sulph (Sodium sulfate) symptoms are aggravated by wearing tight clothing around the waist, living or working in a damp environment, damp weather, or during hot, humid weather and/or changeable weather from dry to wet and are improved during dry, stable weather and/or by frequently changing body position.

Traditional use profile of Nat mur (Sodium chloride)

Nat mur (Sodium chloride) prepared homoeopathically, has been traditionally used to balance body water. Excessively watery or dry tissues have been seen as an indication for this remedy. Watery or dry mucous membranes such as might occur with a common cold or hay fever, weepy, runny eyes, lips that are dry and crack or cold sores on the lips, fluid retention (oedema), and a craving for salt, are examples of conditions where Nat mur (Sodium chloride) may prove helpful.

Nat mur (Sodium chloride) symptoms are aggravated by warmth/heat and/or lying down and are improved by movement, cold bathing and/or wearing tight clothing.

Traditional use profile of Kali phos (Potassium phosphate)

Kali phos (Potassium phosphate) has been traditionally used to improve physical and mental energy and to relieve nervous tension, stress and mild anxiety. Symptoms of lowered nervous energy, physical and mental exhaustion, nervous headaches from stress, nervous upset stomach, halitosis, poor memory, easily fatigued or weak muscles, nervous irritability, anxiety and insomnia are some of the traditional indications for this remedy.

Kali phos (Potassium phosphate) symptoms are aggravated by; excitement, worry, mental and physical exertion, cold, early morning and are improved by; motion, warmth, heat, rest, and eating and/or being in gentle company.

Traditional use profile of Kali sulph (Potassium sulfate)

Kali sulph (Potassium sulfate) has been traditionally used to relieve dry, scaly skin disorders such as, psoriasis, eczema and dandruff and to relieve loose, yellow-green mucus congestion that may occur with, sinusitis, rhinitis, flu, nasal colds, coughs, upper respiratory tract infections and bronchitis.

Kali sulph (Potassium sulfate) symptoms are aggravated in a warm, stuffy environment and improved by being in cool, fresh, open air.

Traditional use profile of Kali mur (Potassium chloride)

Kali Mur (Potassium chloride) has been traditionally used to relieve mucus congestion and swelling or bruising of the tissues. Localised inflammations or mild infections, such as stuffy head colds, white mucus discharges from the eyes, ears or nose, mouth ulcers, middle ear infections, sore throats and tonsillitis, acne with white heads, boils, are all symptoms and conditions that may be relieved by Kali Mur (Potassium chloride).

Kali Mur (Potassium chloride) symptoms are aggravated by physical movement, or from eating rich or fatty foods and improved by cold applications to affected part and keeping still.

Traditional use profile of Calc phos (Calcium phosphate)

Calc phos (Calcium phosphate) has been traditionally used to strengthen the bones and blood, particularly for growing children who are prone to teething problems, sore throats, tonsillitis, and poor circulation. Children who have an imbalance of Calc phos (Calcium phosphate) are often lacking in immunity, complain of headaches and pick at their food.

Calc phos (Calcium phosphate) symptoms are aggravated during cold, wet weather or changeable weather, in springtime and are improved during warm stable weather.

Traditional use profile of Calc sulph (Calcium sulphate)

Calc sulph (Calcium sulphate) has been traditionally used for acne and pustules, to promote the healing of wounds and ulcers with purulent discharges that are thick, lumpy, yellow and often blood-streaked.

Calc sulph (Calcium sulphate) has been traditionally indicated where the body has made an opening or vent for the discharge of pyogenic material and where healing is slow or refuses to take place.

Traditional use profile of Calc fluor (Calcium fluoride)

Calc fluor (Calcium fluoride) has been traditionally used to strengthen tooth enamel, tendons, ligaments, joint cartilage, intervertebral discs and veins. Calc fluor (Calcium fluoride) may help cracking, nodular arthritic joints with periarticular degeneration and pain. Calc fluor (Calcium fluoride) may help defective tooth enamel, caries and teeth that are loose in their sockets. Skin on the hands (particularly the palms) that is hard, dry and forms cracks and fissures, or blood vessels (particularly veins) with walls that are weak and enlarged are also traditional indications for Calc fluor (Calcium fluoride).

Calc fluor (Calcium fluoride) symptoms are aggravated by rest, and cold changeable weather; and are improved by moving about, warmth, cold fomentations or rubbing the affected area.

Traditional use profile of Ferrum phos (Iron phosphate)

Ferrum phos (Iron phosphate) has been traditionally used for acute inflammations and infections, where there is fever, heat and pain, such as colds and flu, tonsillitis, otitis media and other minor infections. Ferrum phos (Iron phosphate) may also help with the episodic inflammatory changes associated with many chronic degenerative conditions, where there is an acute-on-chronic manifestation of pain, redness and swelling of the affected areas.

Ferrum phos (Iron phosphate) symptoms are aggravated by physical movement and/or heat and are improved by keeping still and/or cold applications.

Traditional use profile of Mag phos (Magnesium phosphate)

Mag phos (Magnesium phosphate) has been traditionally used for the relief of physical and mental exhaustion, nerve pains and muscular spasms. Examples of conditions where Mag phos (Magnesium phosphate) may be indicated are: stomach or abdominal flatulence and colic; tension headaches; migraine headaches; dysmenorrhoea, (particularly uterine cramping with lower back pain); muscular cramps and spasms anywhere in the body; neuralgia; nervous tics and twitches; sharp, shooting, darting pains; and sciatica.

Mag phos (Magnesium phosphate) symptoms are aggravated by cold, cold air, motion, night, light touching and are improved by warmth/heat, firm pressure or rubbing of the affected area or bending double.

Traditional use profile of Silicea (Silicon dioxide)

Silicea (Silicon dioxide) has been traditionally used to strengthen the skin, hair, nails and bones. Silicea (Silicon dioxide) may be indicated where there is excessive and offensive perspiration, nails that are weak, brittle, split or have white spots; hair that falls out prematurely, or too easily; skin that is sensitive, dry, waxy, pale and unhealthy looking is subject to infection and heals slowly; boils, abscesses and ulcers; weak bones; joint pain associated with degenerative changes; stiff and weak joints.

Silicea (Silicon dioxide) symptoms are aggravated by cold draughts, becoming uncovered, during a full moon, or following rest and are improved by covering-up, warmth, or hot humid weather.

Study finds that Alanine Amino Acid reduces Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Alanine is found in all of human muscle and can also be located in many protein rich foods consumed in the human diet. It is important to note that although muscle may be its primary "resting ground," alanine is not limited to just muscular tissue. This important amino is also present in intestinal bacteria and prostate fluid. Research indicates that prostate health may be one of the most important conditions affected by the proper dietary supplementation of this alanine.

Alanine has been used in clinical applications to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia, or hypertrophy of the prostate gland. This condition is characterized by the two growth periods of the prostate in male maturity. The second growth phase of the prostate occurs at the median age of 25 and because of this rapid growth, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is often reported years later. BPH is unlikely to cause symptoms before the age of 40, but it is estimated that more than 60% of men in their sixties and seventies suffer from the discomfort associated with this condition.

A recent independent study involved 45 men with BPH and concluded that 780mg of supplemented alanine per day, followed by two months of 390 mg, effectively reduced the symptoms and complications of benign prostatic hyperplasia. [2] *Glycine and glutamic acid were also included in this study. [3]* This may be of critical importance to men, seeming as some 4.5 million American males sought physician assistance for this condition in 2000 alone.

Now in my 50's it is more or less mandatory to have a prostate exam consisting of a gloved finger inserted up the rectum and rotated about a little. This is a new experience for many men and, if you ask for a second opinion on the results, chances are you will receive the other finger!

Jokes aside: I noticed a steady decline in the pee rate from about 50 years and wondered if this really was old age creeping in. Drip, drip.

Interestingly, this process of gradual constriction and getting up in the night to do little in the way of a pee has all but disappeared. The flow is back and I have been trying to figure out what has made the difference. A dramatic difference. The mystery of the shrinking prostate gland.

I have put it down to a few things; but can not zero in on just one. This is the problem with natural therapies which are so slow to take effect (months, years) that the cause-effect link can never be fully established.

I think that what may be doing the job is changes to my diet to now include foods that are rich in the fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K) and avoiding the "99% fat-free" foods which I now consider to be death foods. I have also been actively boosting my vitamin D levels through sensible exposure of the body to sun (My D levels were low according to a blood test). I have also experimented with Balance Beta Alanine which has definitely improved my running and cycling, indicating that I had a chronic deficiency. It is only today that the link with prostate swelling has come to my attention. The other measure I have been working on is balancing my body tissue salts with the Active Elements programme. I am sure that this has been beneficial.

Users of Many Dietary Supplements Found Far Healthier than General Population

"Researchers at the University of California found that individuals who consume 17 or more different dietary supplements per day were found to be far more healthy than those who take no supplements or those who only take a multiple vitamin. The study was recently published in the Nutrition Journal. Avid vitamin-taking participants consumed a variety of supplements including a multivitamin/mineral, B-complex, vitamin C, vitamin E, calcium with vitamin D, herbs, carotenoids, omega-3 fatty acids, flavonoids, coenzyme Q10, glucosamine, zinc, probiotics, and more. The researchers found that taking these vitamins paid large health dividends as a greater degree of supplement use was associated with more favorable concentrations of serum homocysteine, C-reactive protein, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and triglycerides, as well as lower risk of prevalent elevated blood pressure and diabetes. The vitamin-taking group had much better nutrient concentrations in their blood and far lower amounts of disease-related biomarkers. This study clearly supports the use of a wide variety of nutrients to help sustain health. It really is common sense. Nutritional reserves are the foundation of health and the natural way your body helps itself. "

There has been much hoopla in the media recently about a meta analysis study which found that those taking nutrition supplements were less healthy than those who took nothing. What the reports did not tell us is that hundreds of studies were excluded from this meta analysis.

There is no question at all that providing the right nutrient(s) for a person with an identifiable deficiency will improve their health. There is no rocket science required to understand this - just common-sense. The only side effects of good nutrition are looking and feeling great. Sadly, processed foods tend to be stripped of many of the nutrients needed for a long and healthy life. Nutritional supplements are very useful for making up any deficits and their use may be short or long term, depending on the individual circumstances.

I am not in favour of dishing out nutrition supplements willy-nilly. While no harm will come, this can be an expensive way to try to stay or get healthy. I recommend a carefully considered, targeted approach to nutrition supplementation in conjunction with improvements to diet and lifestyle. This works very well and the health benefits can be considerable.
